What better place for a coin show than the Carson City Mint? On September 18 and 19, 2026, Northern Nevada Coin and the Nevada State Museum will once again co-host the Carson City Mint Coin Show inside the historic former U.S. Mint building in Carson City.

The two-day show brings together more than a dozen coin dealers from across the country, giving collectors an opportunity to buy, sell, and talk coins in one of the most appropriate settings imaginable: the building where some of America’s most sought-after coins were once struck.

Historic Coin Press No. 1 will also be in action during the show, striking commemorative medallions from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. both Friday and Saturday. The press has been part of Nevada’s minting history since the 19th century and remains one of the highlights of any visit to the museum.

This year, Northern Nevada Coin is adding something special. On Saturday, September 19, we will hold a drawing for an ungraded 1884-CC GSA Morgan Dollar. Tickets are $5 each and are available at Northern Nevada Coin, directly across the street from the Nevada State Museum. All proceeds from the drawing will benefit the Nevada State Museum.

The Coin Show is open Friday, September 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, September 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Museum admission is $10 for adults, while children 17 and under and museum members are admitted free.

The Nevada State Museum is located at 600 N. Carson Street in Carson City, with parking available off Robinson and Curry streets.
